How to determine the cost price of bloodstock

Some three months ago the IRD consulted the equine bloodstock taxation group on a draft proposal around determining the cost price of bloodstock. At NZ Standardbred Breeders Association we circulated it among our members. The result is a formal IRD response to their 'Questions We've Been Asked'.

There appears to be nothing controversial in the response: it is consistent with good bloodstock taxation practice of the last couple of decades.
