Horse Search Tools for Breeders
Finding detailed information about Standardbred horses — from bloodlines to racing history — is now easier than ever thanks to two powerful online tools: HRNZ’s Infohorse and Harness.org.au’s Horse Search.
HRNZ Infohorse: New Zealand’s Most Comprehensive Breeding Database
Harness Racing New Zealand’s Infohorse platform is the go-to source for pedigree, performance, and progeny data on New Zealand Standardbreds. This user-friendly tool allows breeders to:
- Look up a horse by name or registration number
- View detailed 3-generation pedigrees
- Access full race records and lifetime statistics
- Explore progeny lists for mares and sires
- Track breeding patterns and performance across generations
To view the progeny of a mare, simply enter her name in the search bar and navigate to the Progeny tab on her profile page. You’ll find a full list of foals, their sires, race records, and earnings — a valuable resource for planning future matings or assessing maternal lines.
The Infohorse search bar is located just below this text for your convenience — start your search now.
Harness.org.au Horse Search – Australian and International Bloodlines
For horses based in, or with breeding connections to Australia, the Harness.org.au Horse Search tool is an excellent resource. It provides:
- Race performance and earnings
- Pedigree charts
- Sibling and progeny summaries
- Stallion fertility stats and reports
This tool complements HRNZ’s database, especially for breeders interested in cross-Tasman bloodlines or assessing Australian-based sires.
